Reserved keywords and symbols:
- AND
- OR
- SPACE SYMBOL
AND - keywords separator
Ex:white AND
bear
sentence above is equal to white
bear
System will
search images with white and bear words
in corresponding area.
OR - keywords separator
Ex:white OR
black
System will
search images with white or black word in
corresponding area.
You may use any symbols in
keywords.
Images per
page: Select the number
of thumbnails you wish to see in a search result. Those
with high-speed internet connections may wish to use a
larger number while those using dial up should use a
smaller number.
Keywords:
Type words that are specific to
your search. If the search produces no results try a
broader search and then narrow your selection by checking
the "search within current search
results" box.
In most instances typing a plural like
"frogs" will have the same
result as "frog". However,
it's best to stick to base words as
these will produce the best results.
Photographers:
Search images by a specific
photographer.
Image Name:
If you happen to already know the
specific image name of a photo you may use this option to
find it.
Category:
It is not recommended you use this option to
search for a specific subject as it may limit you search
results. This option is best used to browse images in a
particular category. Unless you know which category a
certain image is in it is best to use the Keywords
field alone to conduct searches.
Description:
If you happen to know the specific image
description you may wish to use this option. It is not
recommended for general searches.
Catalog ID
Number: If you know the
exact ID number of the image you wish to locate use this
option. Note: partial ID numbers will also yield results
however they will produce more results than a full
ID.

Search Quick Tips
For the best results type one or two
appropriate keywords in the search field and narrow your
search if need be, by checking the
"search within current
results" option. The Category field is best use
for browsing entire categories rather than searching for a
particular image. You will make your search results too
narrow by using this option.
The Image Name, Description and Catalog
ID Number search fields should only be used if you know the
specific information for a particular image.
Be sure the above mentioned fields are
blank and the Photographer menu and Category menu are set
to "All" before beginning a
general keyword search.

Calculator Help
Page size/Size
Select the appropriate image size for
your desired use. This is the size that will be represented
in the layout of the final product. If the desired size is
between options choose the larger one.
Placement
Select where the main image will be
used in the final product.
Inserts
Select the total number of times the
image will be used in a publication.
Circulation/Print
Run/Frequency
Select the amount of times the
publication will be printed or circulated. If the image
will be used in more than one publication make sure you
specify the number in Inserts.
Distribution
Choose the geographical location that
the publication will be distributed in.
Languages
How many languages will the publication
be printed in?
Publication Occurrence
Is the publication quarterly, monthly
or weekly?
Duration
How long will the image be circulated?
Electronic Rights
Will the published image also be used
on a website or CD?
Start Date
Choose the start date of the image
use. This date must be within one year of the
license purchase.
Industry
What industry is the image being used
in?

Model
Releases:
Not all images of people have signed
model releases. Non-released images are suitable for
editorial use such as textbooks however they are never to
be used in any form of advertising. It is clearly stated
under each image, which images are released.
Some images specifically state,
"no model
release". If nothing is stated it is NOT
released. Likewise no images containing individual or
business property can be used for anything other than
editorial use without a signed property release. No images
have these releases unless they clearly state that they
do.
Subject
Matter:
No images may be used in
connection with pornography or any other application that
may denigrate character or product. This includes all
sensitive subjects such as but not limited to, substance
abuse, gambling, psychiatric disorders, disease,
abortion-adoption, cosmetic surgery, politics,
homelessness, gambling, sexual issues, poverty, any male,
female, teen, child or homosexual issues. Anyone wishing to
license images for the above mentioned or other potentially
sensitive subject matter must first get prior written
approval from a representative of Color-Pic, Inc.
Alterations:
No Images may be altered
other than for color correction or cropping as needed for
space requirements. Permission for all other alterations
must first be granted in writing by a representative of
Color-Pic, Inc..
Photo
Credits:
Photo credits must be given to all
images used for editorial purposes. All photo credits must
read as specified on the web site.
Unsure?
Should you have a question regarding
the use of an image it is strongly advised that you contact
us before purchasing. It is the
licensee/buyers' responsibility to use
these images according to the laws and regulations of the
industry. The licensee/buyer will take full responsibility
for the misuse of any images.

Checkout
Help
To add an image to the cart choose the
cart icon from beneath the image thumbnail, second icon
from the left. Or choose "Add to
Cart" on calculator page. To view cart and
checkout choose either the "View
Cart" link located at the top right corner of
the page or the "View Cart"
link located at the very bottom right of the page on the
lightbox bar.
We only accept Master Card and Visa at
this time.
Established clients can arrange to be
billed at a later date.

Download Help
To download an
image after purchase simply click the download image
link. An image can only be downloaded once. You have the
option of downloading the image at a later date simply by
logging into the site and accessing your personal page
located at the top right corner of the screen. Choose
"history" to access the
download link.
Image sizes are all at least 45
MB (compressed to 1-14 MB for
downloading) unless otherwise specified. If you prefer a
different delivery method please contact us.

Mac users: drag and drop image to
desktop.
PC users: double click on the opened thumbnail and
save to disk.

Account
Help
To modify or review personal
information, account history or lightboxes click on the link,
"personal page" located at
the top right corner of the screen. For password retrieval
use the "lost password" link
located to the right of the Login button on the green bar
at the top of the page. If
you've forgotten your login please contact us.

Light Box
Help
To add an image to the lightbox click
the lightbox icon under the image thumbnail located on the
far left under the ID #.
The lightbox is located at the very
bottom of the page. Double arrows to the right expand and
collapse the lightbox. Use the default,
"My First Lightbox" or
create multiple lightboxes with
the, "Create New Lightbox"
link. Lightboxes
can also be deleted by choosing "Delete
Current Lightbox". Should you wish
to email your lightbox to someone simply choose the "Email Lightbox
link".
